报告人简介：

   美国科学院院士，台湾大学Distinguished Chair Research Professor，美国普林斯顿大学Blair Professor of Geosciences Emeritus，国际著名构造地质学家。曾任美国普林斯顿大学地质系系主任，美国麦哲伦号金星探测计划的图像解释顾问。他在断层相关褶皱理论、定量分析构造变形的几何学和运动学过程等构造地质学研究领域做出过开创性贡献，成果已经被写入多本“构造地质学”经典教科书。著有《Principles of Structural Geology》，并发表文章100多篇。
